Higher corossion resistance
Material 20MnV6 Cromsteel 500
Chromed rods from 20MnV6 material are most often used as piston rods for hydraulic cylinders working in standard conditions. It is standardized vanadium steel with higher elongation limit and better weldability and workability. This variant has thicker chrome layer (up to 25 micrometers), therefore higher corrosion resistance (up to 500 hours in a salt chamber). It is similar to 13 220 steel according to ČSN.
Parameters:
Tensile strength: 600-750 N/mm2
Yield strength: min 390 N/mm2
Chrome layer thickness min 20 μm
Chrome layer hardness 66-67 HRC
Material 20MnV6-Nikrom 500
Chromed rods from 20MnV6 material are most often used as piston rods for hydraulic cylinders working in standard conditions. It is standardized vanadium steel with higher elongation limit and better weldability and workability. This variant has two protective layers - 20 micrometers of chrome and 30 micrometres of nickel. They provide higher corossion resistance - 1000 to 1500 hours in a salt chamber. It is similar to 13 220 steel according to ČSN.
Parameters:
Tensile strength: 600-750 N/mm2
Yield strength: min 390 N/mm2
Chrome layer thickness min 20 μm
Chrome layer hardness 66-67 HRC
Stainless steel
Chromed rods from stainless steel – 1.4057 are used in extreme conditions. They have one of the highest corossion resistance of all kinds of steel. It is suitable fo refining, belongs to a group of martensitic and ferromagnetic steels, has high resistance to atmospheric conditions, sea water and strong oxidizing acids (e.g. nitric acid).
Parameters:
Tensile strength: 800-950 N/mm2
Yield strength: min 600 N/mm2
Chrome layer thickness min 20 μm
Chrome layer hardness 66-67 HRC
